Personality:

Hikaru is a really cheery and bright guy. He can be quite thoughtful sometimes, but may seem childish most of the time. Hikaru tends to be really friendly around people and is quite easy-going. In fact, he'll try to put almost everything in a joke. He may seem foolish and kind of an idiot, not to mention an airhead, but he's very perceptive at times.

History:

Hikaru was born in a poor family. His father was a drunk and his mother was the sole bread earner of the family. Hikaru had a younger sister and a younger brother, and looked after them when their mother wasn't around. His father, despite being a drunkard, wasn't violent or anything. When his drinking habit got out of hand and he lost his job, he became very depressed and eventually lost all confidence he had to make a living again. So even though he enclosed himself in his room and did nothing but drink all day, he was never once violent. He treated his family with loving care who in return did the same for him, except Hikaru's younger sister.

She really hated her father's drinking habit and would often yell at him to find a job and help out their mother, but he wouldn't budge at all. And it was like that one night when she couldn't take it anymore and ran out of the house in frustration. Hikaru's mother ran after her and moments after they'd left the house, they heard a scream followed by the sound of a car hitting the brakes. Hikaru's father, Kazuo, ran outside pale-faced and fell to his knees at the sight of his wife and daughter lying on the street, spread across in a pool of blood. It was a night before christmas when young Hikaru had lost a part of his family. And it was the next day when Hikaru spent a dreadful christmas with his remaining family...

The day after christmas that year, Hikaru's father, Kazuo, completely changed. He stopped drinking and finally realized his responsibilites as a father. So after giving his wife and daughter a proper funeral, he looked for a job and got hired at a factory. And then slowly, he began saving up money for his children for their education and the household's conditions began improving. The changes were slow and gradual, but over the years, he finally became the supportive pillar of his family. They changed houses and finally began living a normal life, even if it cost them a huge loss, their life began circulating again.

But there were still times when his father would cry over his dead wife and daughter whom he cherished very much. Young Hikaru couldn't stand his father like that so he'd sing for him. That was his way of reassuring his father that everything was alright, and that he shouldn't blame himself. Even though he was just a child, he was very supportive, or so his father thought. At times, he would ask Hikaru to sing for him because he found his voice captivating and calming. And so because of that, Hikaru developed his habit and love for singing.

Around when Hikaru was fifteen, he'd gotten quite better at singing. He'd asked his father to buy an iPod for him, which he easily agreed to, and bought a laptop along with it. After searching online for some songs, he stumbled upon the site NicoNico Douga where he discovered Vocaloids. He quickly grew addicted to them and would often sing their songs, especially Kaito's and Len's. His younger brother told him to look up utaites on NND, who were singers that covered Vocaloid songs, much like how Hikaru sang them. It didn't take more than just an hour of listening to utaite covers that he became inspired to become just like them. So he saved up some money to buy a good mic and set it up so that he could record his songs.

But just recording wasn't any good. It lacked music, but Hikaru didn't know how to put the instrumentals in it. And after three gruelling days of constant searches (he couldn't use Google all that well n p n) he finally found out about Audacity. Looking up a few tutorials regarding it helped him out discover about mixing and learn how to do it too. So, in the end, he made an account on NND under the name of Kumo and upload a few songs he covered. He gained a fair amount of popularity soon after but got comments that his voice was kind of rough and raspy. Hikaru tried working on that but... to little avail. But he never gave up and continues to work on his voice and stays passionate about singing.

- Hikaru would love to have a pet, but his father's allergic to them. All pets, in general. So even though he wants to keep a cat, he doesn't for his father.

- Also, he's really friendly with his little brother. Those two are really close and he wants to start earning fast so that he can start supporting his father and little brother too.

- Oh, and he's shy around girls. (uheueheuhe //slap)

- And even though Hikaru stares at clouds or sleeps during the class, his grades are slightly above average and regularly does his homework despite sleeping the second he comes home and then start singing after that. - w -

- Another thing I wanted to put here is that Hikaru is a fan of Glutamine, Sekihan, Piko, Mi-chan, Ryo-kun, Shuuhey, Lon, Reol, 96Neko and Akiakane. Q w Q

- Hikaru is an avid gamer and loves anime and manga. His favorite manga that got an anime adaption was Katekyo Hitman Reborn! And Bakuman.

- He often refers to himself using 'boku' instead of 'ore' cuz he's childi--//slapped
